In order to generate appropriate analyses, it is important to properly utilize constraints When no constraints are specified by the user, the portfolio tools apply default constraints in a manner designed to enhance the likelihood of sufficient liquidity to support orderly transactions. These defaults are a minimum of $1 billion in market capitalization and a minimum trading volume of 100,000 shares. Absent user-specified constraints, stocks are drawn from that selection pool As the user specifies limits of beta, trading volume, shares outstanding, market capitalization, price limits, and other constraints, the tools are guided by those limits in screening for suitable stocks. As the user increasingly tailors requirements, the default constraints fall away |
